Neese’s Country Sausage has been sharing our food traditions with families just like yours for more than 100 years. Our “special recipe” was created by J.T. Neese in the early 1900’s. He developed just the right proportions of ham and other pork cuts, and added just the right seasonings of salt, pepper, and sage (plus, a few “secret ingredients” that only Neese family members know.
By 1925, a Dodge screen-sided truck had been acquired and sausage was made and packaged at night and was delivered by day. T.J.’s wife, Annie Smith Neese developed the Neese’s Sausage “special recipe” by using the right proportions of ham and other pork cuts as well as adding the right amount of seasonings including salt, sage, pepper and a few secret ingredients.
Sausage Balls Ingredients: 1 lb. Neese’s Sausage; 1 (10 oz.) pack mild or sharp cheddar cheese, grated; Start with 2 cups biscuit mix; add up to 3 cups total as desired. 1 tsp. paprika; Directions. Have sausage and cheese at room temperature. Combine; mix well. Add paprika and biscuit mix. Roll into small balls.
